About the Event
The 8 Prayer Watches
The Prayer Watches cover a 24-hour period. The word of God tells us in James 5:16, "tells us that the prayer of a righteous man availeth much". Jesus told his disciples to "watch as well as pray" (Matthew 26:41). We are to be watchmen and watchwomen. When we watch we Shamar or guard, keeping or protecting; you are ready or prepared for battle. Therefore, the watches align with the prayers that men and women in the bible prayed at different hours which are the "watches". These watches train and instruct us how to pray strategically.
These watches are precise times of the day or night in which we pray. There are 8 watches and every watch has a targeted goal. Prayer watches are the watches of the Lord in which we are watching in prayer. In other words, the prayer watches display the life of Jesus and are prayers for heaven to invade the earth.
There is a kingdom purpose in mind when praying the prayer watches and that is to demonstrate the will of God to be fulfilled in the earth.
